WELCOME

The idea of creating a music zine came to me when I was at a gig in Glasgow, Scotland, where I got chatting to a fellow metalhead queuing for beer. He mentioned that he had put together a zine (a fan created mini magazine) and handed one to me.

I was immediately awestruck. The excellent use of imagery and text left a lasting impression on me... I wanted to create  one of my own. A reflection of the music scene of the current day, a physical entity in the hands of music fans around the world.

I brought together a group of like minded friends such that our combined knowledge of music was extremely diverse.

The first zine was released in September 2022. I printed out a few copies and handed them out at gigs in Scotland.

A cult following began to grow. The second zine followed in January 2023, this time packed with more content and in colour.

The third quickly followed in May of the same year. The zine continues to grow in following and has even achieved an international audience, with copies being sent to the United States and Australia. It has been an incredible experience creating the zine.

I am extremely appreciative to my fellow writers for not only creating compelling articles but also for giving me the gift of all this fantastic underground music.
